In our private music lessons, students receive joyful, one-on-one instruction with master teachers who are dedicated to nurturing confidence, creativity, and a lifelong love of music. Whether you’re picking up an instrument for the very first time or looking to take your skills to the next level, your lessons will be tailored just for you—meeting you where you are and guiding you toward your goals with encouragement, expertise, and plenty of fun along the way. Students learn the fundamentals of technique, tone, rhythm, and musical expression while exploring music that excites and inspires them. With the focused attention of a highly skilled instructor, each student builds a strong foundation, develops healthy playing habits, and discovers the joy of making music that feels personal and meaningful. Instructor Bio: Jeremy Mayne is an active concert guitarist who has performed widely across the U.S., Canada, Mexico, and South America as a soloist, chamber musician, and concerto soloist with ensembles including Opera Southwest, Santa Fe Opera, and the Santa Fe Symphony. He has released four acclaimed albums, ranging from original steel-string compositions to Spanish masterworks, and holds degrees in Guitar Performance from the University of New Mexico and Indiana University. A dedicated educator since 1997, Jeremy has taught at the University of New Mexico and has been a full-time faculty member at Albuquerque Academy since 2003, where he helped build an internationally recognized guitar program. He also served as conductor for Guitar New Mexico’s ensembles and has guest-conducted honor groups throughout the region.
