About This Activity
Through reading and lively group discussions, students will explore some of the greatest stories of the past and present. Students will encounter different themes each week and discover works from renowned authors such as Aesop, Poe, the Brothers Grimm, Washington Irving, Bullfinch, and the anonymous author of Beowulf. These kinsmen of the shelf are sure to kindle a lifelong interest in great literature! Prerequisite: Students must be reading at a sixth-grade level or higher to enroll in this class. Students will be assigned reading each day.
