About This Activity
Students enrolled in Advanced Drama will perform in ONE of our three fall productions. Placement in productions is based on the director's discretion. Advanced Drama students will attend three nights of auditions (vocal, script, and dance) during the week of August 11. In order to enroll in Advanced Drama, your student must have completed one semester of Drama I. All rehearsals prior to tech week take place in our rehearsal studio at Menaul School (301 Menaul Blvd NE 87107). The musical is ENCHANTED SLEEPING BEAUTY. It will be presented at the KiMo Theatre on November 20-23, 2025 (actors will miss two days of school during the show week). Rehearsals for the musical are held MONDAY and THURSDAY pm and SATURDAY am at Menaul School. The first touring play is LEGEND OF SLEEPY HOLLOW. It will go on tour to schools December 1-5 and be presented at the South Broadway Cultural Center on Sunday, December 7, 2025 (actors will miss two days of school during the tour week). Rehearsals for this play are held MONDAY and TUESDAY pm. The second touring play is THE THREE BULLY GOATS GRIFF. It will go on tour to schools December 11-12 and be presented to the public at the Black Cat Cultural Center on December 13, 2025. Rehearsals for this play are held TUESDAY and WEDNESDAY pm. Upon registering, you will receive a detailed rehearsal schedule for the fall and a Schedule Conflicts form. Please fill out the Schedule Conflicts form and submit no later than midnight on August 10. We will take actor's scheduling needs into consideration when casting the productions.
