About This Activity
This after-school enrichment will gear players with the tools necessary to compete better on the basketball court. We will provide a fun and safe way for them to learn the rules and fundamentals of the game of basketball. Just as we work on the fundamentals of the game, we will also work on the basics of movement through fun and active games that help develop hand-eye coordination, balance, and strength. There will be mini-talks on the emphasis of stretching, sleeping well, and eating healthy to be a good athlete and staying fit! Towards the end of the session, we will move towards emphasizing the team aspect of basketball and not just individual skill through small-scale scrimmages and team play. Most of this clinic will focus on developing the dribbling, passing, shooting, and body control aspects of basketball.
