One Credit Course. Prerequisite: Spanish I. Spanish II is a one-credit course that is an extension of Spanish I. Spanish II includes the development of all language modalities (listening, speaking, reading, and writing) with a strong emphasis on grammatical structures and tenses. Having introduced the present tense in Spanish I, students will master the present tense, the present progressive, as well as an introduction to the past tense. In addition to learning commands, verbs that change stems and reflexive verbs. Skills are developed through more advanced reading, writing, and listening activities, and this will give them the opportunity to learn about Latin American culture, such as traditions, music, legends, festivities, etc. Students will have the opportunity to work on cultural projects using the vocabulary established during classes and the opportunity to verbally practice their skills.
