About This Activity
---Instructor: Dino Vergura--- Every great play begins with a story—and some of the most powerful stories are happening all around us. In Story Makers, students become an ensemble of playwrights, actors, and creators as they transform real-world events into original theatrical performances. Drawing inspiration from current events, human-interest stories, history, and everyday moments, students will collaborate to build characters, relationships, scenes, and entire worlds inspired by reality. Through improvisation, movement, creative writing, and devised theatre techniques, students will learn how professional theatre artists create original productions from a single idea while strengthening confidence, collaboration, storytelling, and creative problem-solving. The session concludes with an original ensemble performance created entirely by the students.
