Aurelio Dominguez started his musical career at a young age, playing violin and viola. While in High School, he enrolled in voice lessons. The rest was history. His operatic appearances include Cavaradossi in Tosca, Il Duca in Verdi’s Rigoletto with the Virginia Opera and Miami Lyric Opera, Camille in Lehár’s The Merry Widow, Don Carlo, Nemorino in L'Elisir D'Amore, Orpheus in Offenbach’s Orpheus in the Underworld (in which I played Orpheus’ violin solos on stage), Edgardo in Lucia di Lammermoor, Rodolfo in La Bohème, Tonio in The Daughter of the Regiment, and Prince Tamino in Mozart’s Magic Flute. He regularly performs with the Washington National Opera and the Washington Concert Opera choruses. He currently plays with the Old Dominion Orchestra and the Piedmont Symphony Orchestra. He has taught private voice and violin to students of all ages. He is also a conductor and a voice-over actor narrating books in Spanish for the Library of Congress. He lives in Woodbridge with his lovely wife, Kelly, their goldfish, and their two adorable kitties, Susie and Rosie.
