Birding is more than just knowing what species you're looking at! Learn the basics of bird identification as well as best birding practices, how to spot birds and invite them into your own yard, how to observe bird behavior, and more.
This program is intended for teen and adult participants, but all are welcome. The presentation is suited to everyone from beginner birders to experienced birders looking for more ways to birdwatch.
There will be a 1-hour presentation followed by a half-hour of bird observation time outside. While not required, it is recommended to bring anything you like to observe birds with such as binoculars, cameras, and nature journals.
Adult must register and attend with children. Dress well for outdoor weather. Call for more information 724-935-2170
