The first draft of a comedic script is essentially the writer’s personal improvisation in which he or she develops and portrays all the characters. Subsequent drafts refine these characters and enhance the set-ups, pacing, and punchlines to maximize the overall impact on the audience. In this workshop, participants will independently create the initial draft of a brief humorous play loosely based on commedia dell'arte.
