TEEN ADVENTURES DROP OFF AND PICKUP IS LOCATED AT THE ALPHARETTA COMMUNITY CENTER: 175 ROSWELL ST. ALPHARETTA, GA 30009 Join us for a super cool survival experience at Amicalola Falls State Park, where nature becomes your playground. You’ll take part in guided wilderness survival classes and learn essential outdoor skills. Cool off with a creek-wading adventure and stand in awe of the breathtaking 729-foot Amicalola Falls, one of the tallest waterfalls in the Southeast!This action-packed trip is perfect for teens who love adventure, teamwork, and exploring the wild. Come challenge yourself, make unforgettable memories, and experience the great outdoors like never before!AGE REQUIREMENTS: Age requirements have been established to safely facilitate age-appropriate activities. Campers will be placed into groups according to their age.COMMUNICATION: On-going communication between staff, parents, and teen is critical to your child achieving a successful and fun adventure. If at any time you need to share information, concerns, or compliments, we encourage you to speak with a staff member. To contact your child during their adventure, please call (678) 297-6100.LUNCH: Please bring your own lunch, a water bottle, and snacks.SIGN IN/SIGN OUT PROCEDURES: For the safety of each child, all attendees must be checked in and checked out. Attendees may only be picked up and signed out by an authorized person (indicated at time of registration). Attendees may not check themselves in or out. Please be ready to show a photo I.D. to a staff member.EVENT ATTIRE & PERSONAL ITEMS: All attendees should wear comfortable clothing, You may want to wear a bathing suit or old clothes, and bring a change of clothes and shoes. Participants are required to wear closed toe athletic shoes (no flip-flops). Please no cell phones. Participants are discouraged from bringing personal items such as electronics, jewelry or items of value. Participants are responsible for their personal possessions. The City of Alpharetta Recreation Parks & Cultural Services Department is not responsible for loss or damage to personal items brought to camp.SUN PROTECTION: Many activities are outdoors, your child is at risk for sunburn. Your child should arrive with sunscreen already applied, as well as with additional sunscreen. MEDICATION: If your child needs medicine while on their adventure, you will need to fill out an Authorization to Give Medication at Camp Form or an Over-the-Counter Medication Permission Form.ILLNESSES: For the protection of all participants and staff, any child believed to have an infectious illness should not attend. If a staff member becomes aware that your child is sick, the parent or guardian will be called to pick up the child.
