About This Activity
This workshop is about learning and experimenting with the relief printmaking technique and the accordion book technique. It is intended for people with little to no previous experience in printmaking. It covers in depth explanation about image transfer, printmaking papers, carving tools, registration, inking, and printing by hand and also with a Woodzilla press. In this community oriented printmaking workshop, each participant will be carving a letter to add to everyone's accordion books in order to create one important word that holds us up as a group of likeminded people: community, rooted, belongingness, solidarity, togetherness, camaraderie, etc. At the end of our session, each participant will take home a printed accordion book. All supplies are included.
