Grades: 2nd-5th. Calling all young readers! Join us after school for a fun graphic novel experience where stories come to life through exciting characters, colorful illustrations, and great conversations. Discuss why a graphic novel is often more preferred than a traditional novel. Each weekly session includes a review of the assigned reading, sharing favorite moments, creative activities and games related to the story, and opportunities to make new friends. Whether you're a lifelong fan or are just discovering graphic novels, this is the perfect place to build reading confidence, spark imagination, and enjoy great writing together. No book purchase is required - assigned books should be readily available at your local library. Books you'll be reading will be Pawcasso by Remi Lai, the Tea Dragon Society by Katie O'Neill, Dog Man book 1, and Spy School by Stuart Gibbs. Instructor: Lindsay Murphy. 8 classes.
Online registration closes at 12 noon two days before the class begins. To register after online registration has closed (depending on class availability), please call 734-994-2300 ext. 0.
