Ages 7-14 months & an Adult. Communication between you and your baby begins long before baby’s first words emerge. In this class you will learn all about the foundational communication skills that precede spoken language and how to best support your tiny communicators. Adults learn and practice practical strategies to support prelinguistic skill development with guidance from teacher and Speech and Language Pathologist, Emily McGuire. The first part of class includes open play and free exploration with a class discussion centering around how to foster development in these early communication skills. Class then moves to circle time with bubbles, songs, lap games and “What’s in the Box?” that introduces your baby to a circle-time routine and promotes back-and-forth interaction between adults and babies. Jump Into Speech provides dedicated time to meet other families in a supportive classroom setting. Instructor: Emily McGuire
