Grades: 10th - Adult. Bonjour tout le monde! In this virtual course you will interact with French culture and language through film. During week one we will view two short films during the session. For the following weeks, you will view full-length films independently at home and complete vocabulary and language activities to support your French. During the interactive virtual sessions (done through Zoom), discuss major themes of the films in slow French, practice pronunciation and vocabulary, and play some games to practice comprehension. For this course, it is recommended that you have access to two devices during the session (one as a backup), and have a youtube, amazon prime, or iTunes account to access films. One day before the course starts you receive the 4 join codes for all four sessions. Instructor will email handouts for grammar and vocabulary practice. Required text: Practice Makes Perfect: Complete French Grammar. Instructor: Towela Okwudire, French Immersion teacher at The Roeper School.
