Description
Ages 7 - 13. Twin Knights Chess camp is for kids who have never played, those who have had some instruction and those who are familiar with the rules and some tactics. Campers will learn chess history, etiquette, piece movement, relative values of the pieces, common opening moves, middlegame and endgame strategies and tactics. They will practice under tournament conditions, analyze games of famous players, solve puzzles and have fun with playing bughouse. There will be trophies and other prizes. Instructor: All The King’s Men Staff. Monday - Friday.
IMPORTANT: If you register your child for both a morning camp and an afternoon camp, note that Rec & Ed staff will not be available to provide supervision between 12-1pm, so it will be necessary for you (or someone on your authorized pick-up list) to check your child out at 12pm and check them back in again at 1pm.
IMPORTANT: Please make sure your child's Rec & Ed Account is up to date!
