Grades 2nd-8th. In this class, students learn to crochet by making granny squares, a classic project that builds skills one round at a time. Students will learn how to hold the hook & yarn, make chains, and master the double crochet stitch. They will also learn to read a simple crochet pattern and start their own squares from scratch.
Throughout the session, students will be able to make as many squares as they want and learn how to sew them together. By the end of the class, each student will have the skills to keep making granny squares independently at home. All materials are provided, and no prior crochet experience is necessary. Instructor: Katherine Williams. 6 classes.
