Grades 1st-5th. Discover the joy of making music in a fun, collaborative environment! Through interactive lessons and group performances, students will explore a variety of instruments and music-making tools, including guitars, keyboards, singing, and computer-based drum programming. Along the way, they will build musical skills, develop creativity, and gain exposure to instruments they may wish to pursue further.
Whether you're an aspiring musician or simply curious about music, this class offers a welcoming introduction to creating and performing music with others. No prior experience is required—just enthusiasm and a willingness to explore. All instruments and equipment are provided. Instructor: Jonathan Kinkel. 8 classes.
Meet the Instructor:
JJ Kinkel has been studying, practicing, and playing music for over 20 years, performing in bands and recording in the Ann Arbor area and beyond. More recently, JJ has been a part of the Neutral Zone teen center as a summer camp music instructor, assisted with Neutral Zon’s Beat Production program, and taught private guitar lessons. JJ is the proud parent of two kids in AAPS.
