Grades: K–5th. Take this opportunity to do something BIG! Create a large, personal collage on canvas board using your own collected artwork. Bring any number of pieces from your art portfolio and arrange them creatively, adding paint, yarn, and mixed media materials for texture and visual interest. Produce a finished, ready-to-display art piece—perfect for hanging in a bedroom or living space—so there’s no pile of loose papers from the end of the school year! Instructor: Namrata Khemka. 4 classes.
Goals:
* Celebrate students’ own artwork by transforming it into a large, cohesive piece.
* Teach composition, design, and creative collage and mixed media techniques.
* Produce a single, impressive art piece that’s ready to display at home.
