Grades: K-4th. ¡Hola! Learn Spanish the FUN way in this exciting and interactive class. Our program includes conversation, playful activities, music, stories, and games. In addition, enjoy writing, coloring, and doing craft projects as part of your weekly activities. This session includes an introductory “All about me” activity, followed by school and classroom, days of the week, our community, and a “visit” to the zoo. All class materials are included in the fee. Scholarship recipients pay a $32 materials fee. Instructor: Language Adventure staff. 8 classes.
Focus of each week:
1. Greetings, introductions, age, express favorite things. Activity: make an “All about me” poster.
2. Learn about our school and classroom objects. Game: I spy en español!
3. Our favorite special classes and days of the week. Activity: illustrate a weekly class schedule.
4. Things we need in the classroom. Craft: make a backpack with useful supplies.
5. Our community: places we see and visit. Activity: draw a map of the neighborhood.
6. People in our community: community helpers and neighbors.
7. Wild animals and their natural habitat. Activity: create an animal coloring book.
8. Let’s “visit “the zoo to see our favorite animal. Review games, including animal & color bingo.
