Grades Y5-4th. Hola, amigos y amigas! Join us to learn Spanish the FUN way through conversation, games, songs, and stories. Learn about spring colors, name some butterflies in Spanish and find unusual colors in nature! Explore the Andes mountains to learn all about llamas and their camelid friends; where they live, what they look like, and what they like to eat. In addition, enjoy writing, coloring, and creating your own llama craft project to take home. All class materials are included in the fee. Scholarship recipients pay a $25 materials fee. Instructor: Language Adventure staff.
6 classes.
Focus of each week:
1- Greetings, introductions, colors. Activity: create a Spanish coloring book
2- Common and unusual colors in nature, focus on flowers and butterflies. Craft: make a butterfly bracelet
3- All about llamas in the Andes mountains, their body features and spitting habits!
4- Llamas and their camelid friends, wild and domestic. Craft: make a llama puppet.
5- Fruits and vegetables, what we like/don't like and what llamas like. Craft: make a fruit basket
6- Review with games, go on a nature-themed Spanish scavenger hunt in the playground.
