Grades: K-4th. ¡Hola! Learn Spanish the FUN way in this exciting and interactive class. Our program includes conversation, playful activities, music, stories, and games. In addition, enjoy writing, coloring, and doing craft projects as part of your weekly activities. This session will revolve around winter. Students will learn about winter weather and warm clothes, indoor and outdoor activities, some food and hot drinks, and polar animals. All class materials are included in the fee. Scholarship recipients pay a $25 materials fee. Instructor: Language Adventure staff. 6 classes.
Focus of each week:
1. Greetings, winter weather. Craft: make a weather wheel
2. Winter clothing accessories, indoor and outdoor activities. Project: make a craft snowman
3. Food that keeps us warm and hot drinks. Song: Chocolate
4. Polar animals, big and small. “Visit” the Arctic and create a collage.
5. All about penguins in the southern hemisphere. Craft: penguin puppet
6. Review games, including winter vocabulary bingo.
