$50.00 refund provided if candidates gain employment with the City of Antioch (registration must be paid with a credit card).Shallow Water Lifeguarding Prerequisites (must be verified during Recruitment Clinic):- Must be at least 15 years old as of first day of course- Swim-Tread-Swim Sequence: swim 50 yards, tread water for 2 minutes using only your legs, swim 50 yards.- Timed Event: swim 20 yards, retrieve 10-pound object from a depth of 4-6 feet, walk or swim 20 yards on your back to the starting point in 50 seconds or less (no goggles allowed).
Completion of the course will result in Shallow Water Lifeguarding, CPR/AED, First Aid, and Title 22 certifications.
