Ages 6 - 12 years. Say "aloha" to your new favorite instrument! Learn ukulele basics, including strum technique, chords, and tuning all in a relaxed setting. No musical experience needed. By the end of the session, you'll be able to play along with others and feel confident making your own music. Katie Bowyer is a board-certified Music Therapist and a music instructor. She works with individuals of all ages and ability levels, using music to help them reach their musical and/or non-musical goals. Ukulele was one of the first instruments she learned, and it is still one of her most-often utilized instruments in her work with children! Limited ukuleles available for use during class, but we encourage you to purchase your own so your students can practice at home in between sessions. See "notes" section on PeakConnect for more information regarding ukulele purchasing. No class Oct 1.
