LEGO® ROBOTICS INCLUDING WEDO™ ROBOTICS 1.0 & 2.0 BEGINNING AND INTERMEDIATE ROBOTICS & PROGRAMMING– FOR AGES 6 TO 10 It’s never too early for kids to learn programming and building skills! Our Robotics Camp will give 6 to 10 year old campers the opportunity to make simple robots perform complicated tasks in a fun and challenging way. The week will focus on learning to program by using block-based coding languages to get their robots to complete a variety of missions. By the end of the week, campers will be creating their own challenges. Renaissance began with Lego WeDo 1.0 in 2010. This program is the very best way still to introduce robotics and programming to elementary students. It still is and we know how to do it right! Even taking robotics a little outside the box – no cookie cutter robots for us and our kids! New challenges and robots every year! We’ve added WeDo 2.0 to our vast collection of Robots and expanded the challenges for our talented kids! The new Lego Education WeDo 2.0 curriculum promotes investigation, experimentation, develops computing skills, and incorporates activities across science, engineering, and technology. We add Bluetooth to the Lego WeDo Robotic 2.0 part of this camp. Kids love it! This camp is perfect for first time students, as well as prior Jr. Robotics students who have taken the original WeDo robotics and want to learn more This camp is a hands-on solution that ignites students’ curiosity, while enhancing their skills in science, engineering, technology, and coding. Computer programmers continue to top the list of top earners in the professional fields. Schools today are not equipped to teach high level coding skills and this has created a huge demand for programmers that isn’t likely to be filled anytime soon. Children who learn programming now will be in a position to land high paying jobs in the future. Robotics gives young children the foundation for more complex thinking.
