Description
What does a marine biologist actually do? What happens inside a chemist's lab? How do archeologists uncover the past? In Future Scientist Exploration, students will spend 10 weeks discovering the many different careers, possibilities, and pathways within the world of science!
Class begins with a short, engaging introduction to the profession: what they're called, what they study, what their work looks like, and videos that take us inside real labs and work sites. Then, students will put science into action with a hands-on experiment, challenge, investigation, or project inspired that week's career. This class is designed for ALL future scientists, boys and girls alike! Students don't need to consider themselves "science kids." The goal is to explore, experiment, and discover what interests them while learning just how many different directions STEM can take them. Perfect for curious preteens beginning to think about classes, subjects, and experiences they may want to explore in high school, college, and beyond. 10 weeks. 10 science careers. So many possibilities.
