About This Activity
The 6U Zero-Travel age division is offered at Bird Ice Arena by the AYHA, and this session is intended for children who have completed the Learn to Play Hockey program. The emphasis is on teaching the basics of skating, hockey, and sportsmanship, while emphasizing fun on the ice. In this age division, you can expect to see a wide variety of skill development from child to child; some children have been skating since the age of four, while others who are six might be stepping on the ice for the first time. Season fee is $250. After the deposit is made, no further payments will be required until the first on-ice activities at Bird Ice Arena. Practices are typically early evening on Mondays and Wednesdays, with the potential for an occasional game at Bird Ice Arena with a similarly skilled team on a Saturday.
