Discover the art of modern calligraphy in this four-week introduction, designed for beginners and those looking to build foundational skills. This course covers the fundamentals of modern and Copperplate script using a pointed dip pen. Students will learn how to use essential calligraphy tools, including a dip pen, pointed nib, and sumi ink. Through guided practice, students will develop control of posture, pressure, and stroke technique, building a consistent, rhythmic alphabet to form words and short phrases. By the end of the course, students will confidently create elegant, personalized handwritten pieces. No prior experience is required.
