About This Activity
This winter we will explore more of what we can do with supplementary warps - extra warp threads that create patterns that run the length of the fabric but don’t have to span the width of the cloth. These threads are warped separately from the ground cloth which creates lots of design options for us to explore. Supplies available include 8/2, 10/2, 20/2 and 8/4 cotton and are included in the registration fee. Students may experiment with novelty or knitting yarns or other textile materials in the supplementary warp.
