Intermediate Glazing Techniques Part I & 2 This 2-day intermediate-level glazing workshop is designed for ceramic artists ready to deepen their understanding of glaze application and surface design. Participants will explore a range of application techniques using dipping, pouring, brushing, layering, trailing, and wax resist to enhance form and texture. Working specifically with cone 6 glazes, the workshop encourages experimentation and comparison with a quick turnaround. The techniques covered can be transferred to other low-fire and high-fire glazing. Attendees can bring 1–2 of their commercial cone 6 glazes or use the studio's cone 6 glaze selection. To ensure consistent results and clear visual comparisons, each participant is asked to bring 4–6 bisque-fired pieces that are identical in size and shape. This will allow for focused experimentation with surface treatments and layering combinations, helping artists refine their glazing approach and develop a more intentional creative process.
