Take your handbuilding to the next level learning intermediate and advanced techniques using soft and semi-soft slabs for creating curvilinear forms from small pieces to large bottles and vases. Students may create 1–4 small works during the workshop. These will be dried, bisque fired by Callanwolde, and ready for pickup in 1–2 weeks. Finished pieces can be used in a future Raku/Sagger workshop or decorated at home with cold finishes (examples provided; not food safe or watertight). Optional materials to bring if participating hands-on: Callanwolde-purchased clay Pottery tools Moisture-absorbent ware boards (sized for drying slabs) Experience with clay and handbuilding techniques is reccommended.
