About This Activity
WAWA offers a limited number of O-Academy scholarships for youth ages 5-12. A full WAWA camp scholarship is the equivalent to payment of one camp day. Sliding scale scholarships are also offered between 30 to 70% of a full camp registration fee. Please fill out this form to be considered. We review scholarships periodically and typically begin to announce recipients no less than 1 month before your preferred camp date. The deadline for submitting scholarship applications is 3 weeks before registration closes for the camp you are interested in. Please expect a response no later than 5 business days of your application. If chosen as a scholarship recipient, you must also complete a camp registration form and emergency release form so that we can process your enrollment. WAWA education and administrative staff will award scholarships based on the following criteria: ▪ Financial need (Household Income) ▪ Proximity to the Outdoor Activity center ▪ Interest and involvement in environmental education/nature/the outdoors ▪ Potential for growth and development through the O-Academy experience ▪ Previously received an O-Academy scholarship ▪ Preference given to youth/families that identify as Black and/or of African descent Please note that we cannot hold spots for scholarship recipients. Scholarships can only be redeemed if camp registration is open and slots are available. Please plan to register as soon as possible once you are approved to ensure that your youth will be able to join us for camp.
