Join us for a unique one-hour self-care session held in the stunning main gallery. Students will be surrounded by art as they focus on mindful movement and well-being. Instructor Christina Berkshire will introduce basic hoop dancing and share how this joyful activity can be used for exercise, relaxation, and meditation. While hula hoops have been a child’s toy for decades, recent innovations have made them a fantastic dance partner for adults, too! Christina will lead the class through low-impact exercises to keep the hoops rotating around the waist and show you how to dance with the hoop as a prop. Discover the many sides of hoop dance—from a meditation tool to a source of pure joy. Expect to learn brand new skills, enjoy some laughs, and find a fun new form of self-expression. **What to Wear: Comfortable shoes and close-fitting clothes in a natural fibers like cotton for grip (avoiding “slick” clothes in satin textures). ***What to bring: water bottle to stay hydrated Secure your place for this unforgettable intersection of aesthetic beauty and vibrational healing. *Please bring a yoga mat.
