Whether you are considering boarding school or staying closer to home, most high schools require placement tests for admission and/or placement. To help prepare eighth-grade students, EDS is offering a Test-Taking Strategy and Math Review class on Wednesday mornings from 7:00-7:45, beginning November 9. Mr. Schmelzer and Mr. Marlin will teach the course in room 216. Students will begin with general strategies for standardized tests, focusing on the best ways to approach various subtests. Mr. Schmelzer and Mr. Marlin will offer strategies, review, and practice for the HSPT, the SSAT, the ISEE, and the iReady. Even if your child will not be tested for high school entrance or placement, the class will help improve your child’s general skills for future standardized testing situations.
