About This Activity
This unique art camp blends art patronage in Austin museums with inspiration and practical application. We'll visit a museum in the morning, have lunch in the St. Stephen's Dining Hall, and use the afternoon to create our own original works inspired by what we saw in the morning. Each camper will receive a copy of Marion Deuchars' book, Draw, Paint, Print Like the Great Artists. This will give us a roadmap for our original creations. Sample locations we may visit: Blanton Museum of Art (for painting), Laguna Gloria (for sculpture), and the HOPE Outdoor Gallery (for street art!) All materials provided.
