About This Activity
This camp is designed specifically to introduce robotics and coding to students, the new literacy for the modern world. Robot Petting Zoo : Student participate in "makethon" to create a robotic pet to delight and inspire visitors to the petting zoo. They construct their pets from familiar materials such as cardboard and craft supplies and use robotic components and programming to bring their creations to life. Coding with Scratch Jr. : Create different stories using Scratch Jr. Campers will be using a symbol-based user interface to teach their characters to behave in a manner that they want, creating stories and fun interactive media! At the end of week learners will have a good understanding of basics of robotics and animation. Projects assigned are age appropriate and make sure they are challenging for our budding engineers.
