About This Activity
Fall is robot season! Join Talcott and prepare to compete in the FIRST LEGO League Robotics Competition in November. Two teams of up to ten students will create a robot to play in this year's game - CANOPY - and produce a collaborative research project to meet challenges facing people around the globe. MEETING DATES will include: September 19, 26, October 3, 10, 17, 24, 31, November 7, and at least one competition date in November (TBD). There may be optional after-school practices on weekdays (at no extra cost). If we make it to the State Championships, that will be an additional competition date in December, and additional practice sessions that will be scheduled (at no extra cost). All participants will receive a t-shirt. The competition is for students aged 9 to 14. There is no transportation to campus - families must drive to drop-off and pick-up at TMSC. Students should bring their own snack, lunch, and water.
