This camp is designed for preteens and teenagers to build confidence and competence in caring for children of all ages. Participants learn the basics of child development, age-appropriate care, and safe supervision techniques, along with essential skills such as what to do in emergencies, including choking, and an introduction to CPR principles. The course also covers healthy nutrition, engaging games and activities, and strategies for managing common behavioral situations. In addition, students receive guidance on how to start and run a babysitting business, including communication with parents, setting expectations, and promoting their services responsibly. This comprehensive training prepares young caregivers to provide safe, reliable, and nurturing care. A CPR Certification is not provided during this camp.
