About This Activity
Lower School Skills Refresher Class This course is for the student transitioning to the increased academic demands of the fourth and fifth grades. The students will focus on honing their skills in reading critically, writing, studying, and mathematics with an eye to giving them a boost for the upcoming school year. Each student will leave the course with a resource workbook to help them refresh and master skills prior to the upcoming school year. Coed, entering grades 4 - 5 Capacity: 3 - 12 students Dates: June 17 -21 Time: 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Fee: $280 Location: Gilman Middle School Instructor: Elise Altschuler (ealtschuler@gilman.edu), Gilman Lower School Teacher. Elisa Altschuler is a third grade teacher at Gilman and has 9 years of both teaching and private tutoring experience. She is passionate about presenting material in a variety of multi-sensory ways in order to reach all. students.
