Description: This fall, transform Tuesday afternoons into a ritual of creativity and calm with The Tuesday Afternoon Watercolor Club, a 6-week watercolor journey for ages 8–14. Unlike a series of disconnected lessons, this class will center on one meaningful project by the end of the season. Each session opens with a guided meditation to shake off the school day and closes with a fascinating tidbit of art history. Along the way, young artists will master core watercolor techniques, dry-brush texture, wet-on-wet flow, negative-space clouds, etc., while learning that watercolor is not about perfection, but about embracing happy accidents and finding their unique voice. By the final week, they'll assemble all their works of art and leave not just with a stunning framed artwork, but with six weeks of confidence, focus, and a newfound love for watercolors. Supplies: Will be included onsite during class instruction. Format: This class will be an in-person class. Masks are recommended but not required. The max capacity for this class is 10 participants. Cost of class: This class costs $24 ($4 per week for 6 weeks). Scholarships are available! We have scholarships available for every class. If you are unable to pay the class fee, please email: director@jubileeartsbaltimore.org and request a full or 50% off scholarship. We want EVERYONE to enjoy a class at Jubilee Arts, so reach out, and we will do our best to accommodate. End-of-Session Celebration: All participants will present their final projects at our celebration, TBD.
