Tuesdays, 5:00-7:00 PM • 6 weeks MDI High School Instructor: Chip Taylor This course is designed for the individual with no experience in working with metal and/or MIG (wire fed) welding. Students will be introduced to some basic cutting and metalworking equipment and terminology while also gaining a basic comprehension of MIG welding processes. Individuals in this course will learn a variety of basic skills to help them get started in metalworking processes. Course price includes $200 materials fee. About the Instructor: Chip Taylor is a CTE (Career and Technical Education) Instructor at MDI High School and has been at the school since the Fall of 2000. In his current role he specializes in the Auto and Metalworking areas of instruction. He has helped grow the department into an area in which students can thrive in the hand-on learning environment, build confidence in their own abilities, and develop skills to help in future endeavors or career choices.
