About This Activity
Description
Instructor: Amy Friedl, local author and former English-Language Arts teacherNo Class: Feb. 16
Calling all students looking to do a deep dive into creative writing! Are you an aspiring author but can’t write like you want to in school? Do you have a child or grandchild at home who’s always writing stories?
This Creative Writing class might be just the thing to help build skills and confidence. This six-week class will focus on character development, author’s perspective, genre studies, and short story development. Each session will have tasks to accomplish in class and opportunities to collaborate with other writers. We will work to create believable characters and shareable stories, all working toward our culminating project - a short story book written by YOU, the authors!
Students should bring a notebook, folder, and a writing utensil to class. They will work on paper in class, type up work at home, and email to the instructor to print. No computers are needed for class time.
