About This Activity

Even with the rainy abundance of the Pacific Northwest, water resources are always important. Whether protecting streams from pollution or managing flood risk, all sorts of people across the state are applying skills in Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics to make sure that water is used both wisely and responsibly. This workshop will involve activities that teach students all about the water around us. Topics will include benthic macroinvertebrates, pollution prevention, and basic hydrology!  Register today! - Participation is limited to 20 kids, ages 7-11 - This session is available for FREE with an optional donation. - Outdoor adventures may occur! Please have your child dressed for spending time outdoors, including close-toed shoes and weather appropriate clothing. -Please arrive a few minutes early to drop participating children off so that everyone can get settled in before the workshop starts. -To ensure equal engagement for all participants, guardians are not permitted to sit in on workshops. However, you are welcome to explore the Salmon Center grounds and our neighbor Theler Wetlands while your children are in class.
