What’s the big deal about birds? Get curious at a free, interactive workshop about the fascinating biology of our avian friends, including their cool adaptations and amazing migrations. Then, join us through a guided birding tour of Union River estuary where we’ll learn how to identify them as a group! - Participation is limited to 20 kids, ages 9-13. - This session is available for FREE with an optional donation. - Please have your child dress according to the weather. Close toed shoes are required. Come prepared so that we can have fun outside (rain gear, hat, etc). - Please plan on dropping off your child a few minutes prior to the beginning of the workshop and arriving promptly for pick-up. -To ensure equal engagement for all participants, guardians are not permitted to sit in on workshops. However, you are welcome to explore the Salmon Center grounds and our neighbor Theler Wetlands while your children are in class.
