About This Activity
Currently, there are 40 species listed as endangered and threatened by Washington state. Many of these species call the Hood Canal home, including four species of salmon and trout that are listed as threatened under the Endangered Species Act. Check out this interactive workshop to learn about some of the endangered and threatened wildlife of the Hood Canal and what’s being done to help them. - Participation is limited to 20 kids, ages 9-13 - This session is available for FREE with an optional donation. - Please have your child dress according to the weather. Close toed shoes are required. Come prepared so that we can have fun outside (rain gear, hat, etc). - Please plan on dropping off your child a few minutes prior to the beginning of the workshop and arriving promptly for pick-up. -To ensure equal engagement for all participants, guardians are not permitted to sit in on workshops. However, you are welcome to explore the Salmon Center grounds and our neighbor Theler Wetlands while your children are in class.
