About This Activity
Have you ever wondered what the trees, shrubs, and grasses are around you but don’t know where to start? Join us for a free, hands-on workshop to get acquainted with some of Washington's common native plants and learn how to identify them by their leaves, cones, flowers, berries, and seeds! - Participation is limited to 20 kids, ages 8-12 - This session is available for FREE with an optional donation. - Please have your child dress according to the weather. Close toed shoes are required. Come prepared so that we can have fun outside (rain gear, hat, etc). - Please plan on dropping off your child a few minutes prior to the beginning of the workshop and arriving promptly for pick-up. -To ensure equal engagement for all participants, guardians are not permitted to sit in on workshops. However, you are welcome to explore the Salmon Center grounds and our neighbor Theler Wetlands while your children are in class.
