Summer Farm Stewards will begin with an introduction to gardening and nutrition and then progress to learning about and experiencing pollinators, wild and domestic animals, mindfulness and creativity, water systems, environmental science and restoration, salmon, and the ways that these topics connect to sustainable agriculture and the environment. - Participation is limited to 16 kids per day. Campers will be split into two groups of 8 led by an HCSEG environmental educator. - Camp is available for free but a $5 donation is suggested. - We will provide hand sanitizer and other necessary disinfecting supplies. - Each participant will be required to bring their own face mask, to be worn when space does not allow for social distancing, such as in a restroom. - All Farm Stewards activities will take place outside. - Lunch is not provided - Families are welcome to eat lunch together at the Salmon Center after camp, but there will not be a lunch break during camp. Campers are encouraged to bring a small morning snack.
