Description
Calling all young artisans and entrepreneurs! You’re invited to sell your creations at this years Holiday Market. Whether you’re an artist, baker, gardener, or master 3D printer we can’t wait to see what you can create. Booth spaces at the market are open to youth 14 and under.
All are welcome to shop at the market. Registered participants are encouraged to promote the event and their business by inviting friends, family, and neighbors to the market.
Details:
- A booth space includes a 6 foot table and two chairs. Exhibitors are responsible for all bringing all other equipment. We recommend bringing a table cloth, signage for pricing and wares, and decorations for your booth.
- Siblings or friends may share a booth space under one registration. We recommend groups of two, with a limit of three youth vendors per booth space (not including parent helpers).
- All wares must be homemade by the child and priced at $10 or under.
- If you plan to sell food items, you must follow Whatcom County Health guidelines and qualify for a bake sale exemption. This requires additional documentation, please email jmpettinger@cob.org for more information.
A Note for Parents: Children's Markets are a great opportunity for children to build confidence, improve communication skills, and practice creativity. We encourage parents to let their children lead and take ownership of their booth. The goal is to enable children to create and succeed independently in a gradual release model. If there is a skill your child is working on (such as counting out change) this is a perfect opportunity for them to practice. Consider providing a quick lesson beforehand and then allowing them to practice somewhat independently during the market. A reminder that, "You can do it!" works wonders in building a healthy self-esteem.

Booth reservations are non-refundable. Space will be assigned on a first paid basis. Tables and chairs will be provided, just bring your crafts, goodies and decor! We recommend bringing table clothes and pricing signage.
Goods that require refrigeration are not permitted. All food items must follow Whatcom County Health Department Guidelines. Email jmpettinger@cob.org for more info.
