This is the social dancing of Scotland and one of the root influences of U.S. folk dance. In this 7-week session you will learn basic steps and figures that build into fun group dances. Participants will dance to the joyful music of jigs and reels and eventually the elegant strathspey. Recommended footwear: soft-soled shoes or slippers.
On April 29th we will host a special open Dance Social with live music-no registration is required. This evening is best for those with some Scottish Country Dance experience however newcomers are welcome to observe and enjoy.
