About This Activity
Description
We invite individuals of all abilities to immerse themselves in the wonderful world of ballroom dancing! Our welcoming and supportive environment brings music and movement together, encouraging self-expression, confidence, creativity, and the joy of dance. We strive to create an inclusive experience where everyone can participate, learn, and enjoy dancing at their own pace.
This class is designed for teenagers and adults with physical, intellectual, or developmental disabilities. Participants will have the opportunity to explore ballroom dancing in a supportive environment that celebrates individual abilities and encourages participation, connection, and personal growth.
Our program welcomes participants of all experience levels and introduces a variety of ballroom dance styles, including the slow waltz, tango, foxtrot, Viennese waltz, cha-cha-cha, samba, rumba, and jive (rock ’n’ roll).
Our Instructor is choreographer Aleksandra Gerusova. Mrs. Aleksandra brings us 22 years of experience and education in higher pedagogical education from Russia. She is excited for the opportunity to bring her talents and work with children here at the River Center! She holds Master's Degrees in Musical Education of Children and Choreography.
The program fee covers both the participant and their chaperone. Each participant must be accompanied by a family member, caregiver, or designated representative who can participate in the activities independently while providing any necessary supervision and support to the participant throughout the class.
