About This Activity
In the fall, we will focus on methods of drawing from observation using a variety of art tools and materials. Participants will learn to appreciate that all art, and especially drawing, begins with looking. The art of paying attention is where all great technical drawing ability stems from, whether one is creating an abstract artwork or a figurative one. We will practice different kinds of observational drawing and painting, whether through still life, live figure drawing, or plein air drawing. By the end of the class, participants will gain a better understanding of the principles and concepts of art. They will be able to notice more about the world around them and translate this heightened attention to more focused drawing pieces. Join this class and improve your drawing skills while exploring your creative voice!
